Ended up quite a good game. Bit nervy when the mets had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th - but Beltran striking out on 3 straight pitches? Who'd a thunk it!

Anyway the Tigers (sadly) will win the World Series - probably in a sweep. Their pitching is just too good.

Feel a little sorry for the Mets. They were great throughout the season but a couple of key pitching injuries really hampered their post-season chances. Still, I've always liked the Cardinals - playing in red and all that...

it's sad though...

it's been 20 years since the last world seried triumpth. was only a toddler at the time but remember mu uncle telling me stories of it and all, was hoping to watch them in the world for the first time. didn't catch the games when they got battered in 2000...

well better luck next time right?

Cards win the WS.

They lost somthing like 7 of the last ten games during th regular season yet ended up as WS champs. Kudos to them. Their pitching has been nothing short of outstanding during the playoffs.
