On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Can't see past Contador again this year, but once again, as I did last year I'll, go with Andy Schleck as the only guy who'll challange him.
Will be interesting to see how Lance will be this year with a far better preparation as he was simply blown away by Contador at times last year, but he didn't have long to prepare and had the fall not long before it started.

Yes, clearly Contador is the strong favourite.
I don't think Schleck will be as strong, judging by his performance in the Tour of Switzerland. Then again the course favours climbers more and time triallists less than last year so that helps him.
I can't see Amstrong doing better than last year - his time trialling is nothing like what it was a few years ago and he simply can't respond to Contador's and Schleck's turns of speed in the mountains. But he does have a strong team and he's so strong tactically. He needs a good first week.
Wiggins is in a similar position but he knows how to prepare so it's possible he could challenge. I think his team is too inexperienced though.
Vande Velde, Kreuziger, Basso, Menchov and (especially) Evans are all interesting contenders too. Maybe even Sastre might give us a surprise, if he's recovered from his injury from the Giro.
So Contador will probably win but it should be interesting to see how he does it.

some bloke who is probably on drugs wearing gay tight fitting clothing will be watched by men who like watching sweaty men in tight clothes will win this thing.
Anyway, who's going to win the Points jersey? Cavendish was dominant last year and he clearly isn't at that level yet, as his crash with Haussler last week showed. Last year he would simply have ridden away from everyone but he couldn't do it. The question is whether he can get that top end speed in the two weeks between leaving the Tour de Suisse and the start of the Tour. He's also having difficulty getting over the climbs and I can see him not making it to Paris...unless he's been faking his condition, which is possible. Then again HTC Columbia have a realistic contender for the overall in Michael Rogers (forgot about him earlier) so the team won't be dedicated to looking after Cav which is what they ended up doing last year.
Hushovd has been looking good in the last few weeks and has to be favourite. Also Boonen seems to have been very quiet since the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix so maybe he's been saving himself for it.

I've just read HTC Columbia say their first priority is Cavendish's tilt at the green jersey.

Hushovd will have a split captaincy with Sastre, so Cervelo won`t work only for Hushovd. That`s the same as last year, when Hushovd won the green.
Boonen has troubles with a knee, so he might not start. Even if he starts there are a big chance he won`t finish.
I`d like to add Boasson Hagen to the mix. He`ll not take the green jersey, but he`s quick/strong enough to have an impact on some stages. He`s the type of rider that could try with 1-2 km left. With his power that could really impact the tactics of the sprinting teams.

Yeah Hagen (is Boasson Hagen really his surname? I mean we didn't call Riise, 'Arne Riise' did we?) is a good shout. He's an excellent rider. But I think Sky will be dedicated to Wiggins to a greater extent than HTC will be for Rogers (or Martin) so it might be difficult for him.
I hadn't realised Boonen aggravated his knee injury at the Tour de Suisse. It'll be a pity if Cokehead Tom has to miss it.

I'm so excited, I just can't hide it
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it
