Stop ****ing around and play Gerrard at CM!

"I have always maintained that Gerrard's best position is in the centre of midfield, driving forward" - Alan Hansen

And isn't this just the key? Rafa managed to rip out the motivation of one of our most dedicated players by shifting him around on the pitch like a cheap whore in a cathouse. Don't tell me it hasn't had any consequence that Stevie got dropped at CM. Of course it has. It was a slap in the face. The same spot that SGE wouldn't play him in got taken away from him at Liverpool. What a mistake!

Build around him FFS! Why people can't understand how important this is, simply baffles the mind.

For Gerrards game, motivation and confidence. Giving Gerrard a season at CM would bring consistency and would help us in the future. We need his drive and power through the CM. He might not be the playmaker that we all know he can be; YET! But playing him at RM sure as hell want get him there. Gerrard is the key to success in the future and we need to start building on that instead of letting players, who can't hold a candle next to him, take his CM position. I think that Gerrard have the qualities needed to become one of the most important playmakers in the history of Liverpool FC. But he needs to learn by playing at CM. Everytime!

With Momo and Alonso we look stale and impotent. The offensive faculties they bring to the table are so limited, that anyone can see that it would hardly matter who you build around them. It would still look stale against the big teams. If anyone thinks that a 4 goal CM midfield a season is the answer, well....christ!

This season and the 11th spot is on Rafa and no one else!

I guess after every loss this is going to get an airing, but a Gerrard on current form and attitude shouldn't even be on the bench, never mind in the centre of the pitch.

He's been **** all season, much like the rest of them

This sounds like listening to Andy Gray all over again.
I refuse to be brainwashed by it.
(Goes away humming with his fingers in his ears.)
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

We played him in the centre against Blackburn and he was absolutely ****. Anyone jumping on board this particular bandwagon is TOTALLY missing the point.

You're right Shaggy. He has been crap this season and whilst I'd rather see him in the middle generally speaking, to say that putting him back in there will sort everything out is missing the point. The whole team are not playing well and one change like that won't sort it.

Gerrard should be playing in the reserves at the moment.
              On the Ning Nang Nong
              Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
              There's a Nong Nang Ning
              Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
              On the Nong Ning Nang
              All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
              So it's Ning Nang Nong!
              Cows go Bong!
              Nong Nang Ning!
              Trees go Ping!
              Nong Ning Nang!
              The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

Oh yes, the answer to all our problems. Play an underperforming prima donna in his favourite position and all is right with the world

I believe that Rafa does not want to have a team built around a single player, but rather a team playing a specific system into which any of the squad can easily adapt.

I also believe that Rafa would have rather sold Stevie when we had those huge offers.

Yesterdays humiliation, and I do not use that word lightly, demonstrated yet again how far away we really are from being Premiership Champions.

And for the first time I actually felt sorry for Stevie G, who must now be thinking about his future. If I was in his position would I want to spend the best years of my professional career playing out of position (YES, he is the best ****ing CM in the world, not a ****ing RM OK!). Stevie was poor yesterday but he was still miles better IMO than Alonso, Garcia, Pennant, Finnan, Sami, JAR and Gonzalez.

Open your eyes Rafa, play our best ****ing 11 every game and play our best player in his best position!!

                  PLEASE!

So who the **** do we put on the right?? It's all well and good saying how amazing Gerrard is through the middle (this is not always the case, by the way) but when we have absolutely no optons for the right bar Pennant (no ta) and Garcia who offers us no width whatsoever we have to look at the team overall.

How about giving Bellamy, or even giving Anderson a chance?? Or how about ****ing buying our first choice RM Alves??

At this stage I look towards the future. The future with Gerrard at CM permanently. Him starting there every game should be as certain as the sun rising in the east. Stop playing him out of position to accommodate lesser players who brings NOTHING offensively to the team. ZERO!

Momo on the ball is about as interesting as watching George Bush trying to pronounce "nuclear". You pretty much know the outcome.

We have been looking for a RM for ages, but the truth is that Rafa wants him at RM and Gerrard has come to realise that and thus his motivation is hard to find these days. Can you blame him? He has to look at the inept Momo Sissoko with the ball talent of a log of wood in his favorite position. I wouldn't exactly be a bundle of joy if I had to live through that!

This is about motivation. It's about Rafa and his management.

It's about the constant rotation that strangles everykind of consistency and not building on the best footballer we have at our disposal.

If this continues we will lose him next summer.

Bellamy might be worth a shout there. Thats where the geordies played him once they realised he couldnt hit a bull on the arse with a shovel. And ease anderson in as well late on in games, give the lad a feel of it

If you can boil this down to "The Blackburn game", someone is indeed "missing the point"

he does go missing when in the middle fella. he used to get away with it a lot with hamann next to him, and when momo matures a bit he may still.
