Just back from New York where i managed to watch a couple of NHL games, and also I watch the elite league Ice hockey over here in the uk, mainly Nottingham Panthers, so is there anyone else on here who watches any Ice Hockey?

I've watched the Cardiff Devils for about 15 years or so. Loved watching the game on sky last week when they destroyed Hull 12-0. The last time I saw Cardiff do that to a team was probably back before the superleague era.
The league looks reasonably close at the top now, what's always bugged me is how wide a gap in games played in the league seems allowed to grow, I think Coventry have played 6 games less than Belfast, makes the table a little harder to judge.
I don't really keep up with the NHL, I try to keep an eye on the playoffs when they arrive but that's about it.
For me it is about 8 years watching Nottingham Panthers also been down to your tent in Cardiff, as I am originally from North Wales The devils could be my second team in the playoff finals here!
As for NHL started watching the late night hockey at the weekends on ESPN and especially Hockey Night in Canada with Don Cherry!
The teams i follow with interest are the Phoenix Coyotes and Washington Capitals

I've not got ESPN so can't watch any. I was in Canada about 10 years ago and got taken to see the Edmonton Oilers play so they've my team of choice by default really - if I could watch a few games I would. I was a regular watching the Devils then and the difference in the game between here and the NHL was mind blowing although it was odd waiting for TV ads to finish before play resumed!
Devils are looking on fire at the moment, be good to see how they get on against Sheffield on the weekend. Weller has come in and looked pure class, even when targeted by a few men he always seems to come away with the puck or find a pass - always looks to have time to do what he wants.
Have you ever been to the playoff finals? I've only been once and watched Cardiff lose before watching Nottingham vs Ayr in the longest game in British ice hockey history. 6 periods of overtime that was and there were a few guys behind us who left with maybe 5 minutes to go as I think Nottingham were 2 goals down. They missed nearly a full games worth of hockey!
