    Wsm 2010

    Well excited about this one.

    Anyone else care?

Anyone else even know what I'm on about?

    World's Strongest Man?

Was a feature of my Crimbos for years when it was the mighty Geoff Capes v Jon Pall Sigmarsson, but it went **** after them. Who was that toss English fella? Fat bloke, Jamie summat?

Never been into it since, although I might give it a whirl. Can't beat a bit of truck-pulling at Christmas.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Aye, it's on Bravo at 8 from Sun.

Capes and JPS are legends you're right- got both their autographs from a highlands games when I was a kid. Even got the JPS biography DVD (with English subs). Is a clip of him on this talkshow blowing up a hot water bottle like a balloon until it pops- ****ing mental lung capacity. One of his most famous quotes was "there's no point being alive if you can't deadlift"- sadly prophetic cos he died at 32 doing a deadlift.

Never really thought it went **** cos I love that kinda stuff, but it's certainly picked up again of late. It's a lot more dynamic now- you get a fair few less fatties (unlike in Britain's). You need stamina and plyometric strength to win it as well as static. I've got back into it more since I started lifting heavier myself and got disillusioned with footy.

Unfortunately, Bravo have seen fit to put Alex Reid as commentator. He wasn't as bad as I thought he was gonna be on BSM though.

I usually download this for a casual viewing, it's good fun and my son will usually happily watch it with me too.

          Quality entertainment.

It's been a lot better since Pudjanovski or whatever it is came along. Forced everyone to become a more rounded athlete, he's just immense.

Good viewing. The strength of some of the blokes is amazing, think the only one I could even try is the walking while holding a very heavy weight in each hand - everything else not a chance!!

Aye, Pudzianowski was insane. Was reffing one if the quailifiers the other day. He's dropped about 5 stone down to 18ish cos he's competing in MMA. Was insane his ripped, fit and explosive he was for 23stone.

Like you say, it's ****ing mental how strong they are- basically about 3-4 times as strong as the average bloke.

Lots of the qualifiers on right now.
