Next 10 Games...

It's been a while since we had one of these threads, but as there's a bit of optimism around the place I thought it could be a good discussion.

Assuming we beat Sparta Praha, there would be europa league games on the 10th and 17th of March against Lech Poznan (Poland) or Braga (Portugal), that would be in the 2 weeks between united and sunderland. The quarter finals would be the week before and after the city game.

There are some tough games in there, away to Chelsea and Arsenal, home to the scum and citeh.

Potentially Carroll's first game would be on the 17th against Sparta Praha?

I think if we beat Chdlsea and Wigan we can seriously start to get excited and start looking how far away we are from 4th. But it's a massive ask and we can't even start entertaining draws as a good result.

I think a defeat to Chelsea would put to bed any slight dream of 4th as most people target them as a team that could drop out.

Personally i think Man Utd and Arsenal will challenge for the title, so we're chasing Spurs, Chelsea and City. Just a great shame there are three teams above us fighting for two spots. I just can't see two of the top five messing up enough to let us in. Had Hodgson gone sooner, it might have been different.

Too true mate. Hodgson really did put us behind the 8 ball. Even just to close the gap up and put us into contention will be a good end to the season. We could serioiusly mount a challenge next season like City did for some time this season after finishing 5th last season.

Mancs - 3pts
Sunderland - 1pt

That'll do me nicely - 17 points in total - takes us to 52 points with 4 games remaining (Brum/Newcastle/spurs at home and fulham away)

I think we should be looking to get 60+ points - which would comfortably see us finish 6th - a remarkable turn around

I also see no reason why we can't have a real go a the europa league as well

Not sure about them all, but we'll beat Arsenal & Carroll will net a hat-trick.

I think we will finish 6th, possibly sneak 5th based on the games too come. Seems we will have a say on the title race though. Lots of big games to get up for. Caroll looks like he will be fit for the big ones too!
