    Fabio Aurelio

Liverpool announced Fabio Aurelio is likely to be out of action for the next couple of weeks after he sustained an injury during the match against Sparta Prague on Thursday.

The Brazilian was taken off just before half-time in the 0-0 draw and manager Kenny Daglish confirmed he had suffered a muscle strain.

Aurelio is unlikely to be available for Liverpool's second-leg Europa League match next week, or for their clash against bitter rivals Manchester United in two weeks' time.

He has played this season and we payed nothing for him... I don't think it has been that bad a move. It was him or nobody probably. Then again we could have the konk still playing I guess, one can dream.

More a case of an area we needed to strengthen and we (club and management) were prepared to make do with a known "hospital" player who can't be relied upon, and another who can't play football, but somehow found himself with a nice long contract.
Embarrassing behavior in the transfer window (not surprised though). I like Fabio but gave up on him a long time ago.

What did you really expect with G and H in control, when they probably knew a sale was not too far away and Hodgson in charge.

Same here. His injury record is absolutely brutal. Good, good player LB (don't like him in midfielder role though) when fit but not someone we can depend on.

Aurelio IMO is a quality player.......just a pity he's apparently made of glass.

There was a period in 08/09 when I think we were close to seeing the real Fabio, and what he could give the team. Frustration ever since.
