Chelsea paying out hush money again

    BBC Sport:

"Leeds have agreed a settlement with Chelsea and have dropped a complaint that the Premiership champions tried to poach three of their academy scholars.

Leeds chairman Ken Bates accused his former club of breaking youth development rules to sign teenagers Tom Taiwo and Michael Woods.

He claimed Chelsea had also tried to persuade a third youngster to sign.

Chelsea will examine their procedure for recruiting youth players but are not thought to have admitted liability.

The Premier League and the Football Association launched a joint investigation into the issue.

A joint statement from the two governing bodies read: "Leeds has withdrawn their complaint and the Premier League has been advised by both clubs that any claims and litigation arising out of any alleged improper approach have been settled.

"Chelsea have undertaken to conduct an internal review of policies and procedures in relation to the recruitment of players, take steps to rectify any shortcomings... and develop their own code of conduct"."

Leeds can hardly afford to take the moral high ground, but it's a pity they're not going to stick to their guns and make some formal charges against the Chav filth.

So that's Leeds and Spurs on the Chav payroll, paid to keep quiet.... :whatever:

Must have been more than a couple of million of Bates to keep his mouth shut...

There was also that thing about Bates making racist comments about Chelski. He lost a lot of bartering power when he made that statement. He'll have done well from the deal though no doubt.

Can't blame Leeds for taking the money, christ knows they need it.

I was going to say something along the lines of; I wonder what the outcome would be if this scenario happened between Chelsea and a top club, but then I remembered what happened between the scum and Chelsea over Obi Mikel.

The sooner that Cossack **** is gone from our League the better.
