The BBC have quoted saying "Look, we've just had a chat, that's it." as he was leaving Villa park this evening.

LOL

There is somthing deeply untrustworthy about the man.

Too right. The man is a creep of the highest order. I can't stand him.

A six-hour chat!

The Leeds players couldn't warm to him either. Rather than mixing with and building relationships with his players, he'd always be hobnobbing with the top brass, trying to build high-up networks that would further his own career.

And Jesus, he is one boring man.

I like the way that two Prem managers have gone this year after fans' protests - good to see that fans do still hold some power after all. Now if only they'd use their power to get wages and ticket prices down.....

Strange for it to be done so close to the season. You'd of thought he would of gone (sacked) at the end of last season.

Super club Villa are. Ellis makes our boys look top class.

I don't think Ellis has personally done all that much wrong over the years, apart from appoint some poor managers (and nearly all of them have been thought of as good when they arrived). He has at various points put decent money into the team, I think he was bitten by the Gregory affair and so now ill only release funds when he is sure of his manager.

I also think the mutual consent thing is better than a sacking for Villa as it implies they will not be paying any compensation.

O'Leary had clearly been up to something and he has done a poor job there. I have to say I thought he would be a good appointment but he has played crap football and failed to be successful either, Villa have been over taken by about half the division during his tenure.
