    peter kenyon what a ******

'The Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon yesterday defended the club's extravagant spending power by insisting that the Premiership champions were mainly targeting English players.

'"We have taken a conscious decision that the core of our team should be English," said Kenyon.'

The mainly English players that Chelski have signed in 2006: Maniche, Hilario, Magnus Hedman, Salomon Kalou, Andrei Shevchenko, John Mikel Obi, Khalid Boulahrouz, Michael Ballack and Ashley Cole.

To be fair they have signed/poached an endless stream of talented english youngsters.

Obviously the core he refers to is really JT and Lampard but I suspect by the time they retire at least some of the players they have bought in at youth level will be stepping up (look at what their loan players are doing at QPR).

Still, Kenyon might be a big baldie ******* of a ******, but no doubting he gets the job done, and a top notch job he does as well.

That is arguably the tscums best transfer deal they ever did.
