99.9% of them are ****s
Quite like to read Gab Marcotti, Balaguaie [sic] pretty much anyone who writes for World Soccer and Paddy Barclay and James Lawton.
Patrick Barclay sways from saying some very intelligent things, to talking utter rubbish the next!
I can never make my mind up as to whether I like him or not! :D

I like Brian Reade and Oliver Holt.
Mainly because I know Reade is a Red, and I'm 99% sure Holt is too.
How shallow.
Graham Spiers - sport writer for the herald.
Chris Bascombe, obviously. ;)

He did a great job on Henry :haha:

Holt is a red.
He IMO is the best out there at the min.
Does anyone know anything about Oliver Kay from The Times?
I've met him a couple of times. A nice person but being Danish and therefore not reading many English papers I don't know what quality his work is - but I seem to remember that he is a Red one as well?!?!

Oliver Kay is definitely a Red. He along with Reade and Holt are my favourites - again, cos they're all Reds. My favourite non-Red is without doubt Patrick Barclay. He knows the game. Brian Glanville used to be good, too.
I DETEST Brian Woolnough, Harry Harris, Martin Samuel, Martin Lipton, Danny "The Boy" Fulbrook :haha: and many others.
thanks for enlightning me - I've read a few of Kay's articles and he seems to avoid the really nasty articles about speculations on transfers, bust-ups etc. and just concentrate on doing a proper job...
Speaking about journo - I ran into Ray Houghton in Germany during the World Cup. I didn't speak to him but got the impression that he was working for Irish television - is that correct?
He looks really old and it was hard for me to picture him in our side almost 20 years ago...

Dunno about Houghton mate - although I do know he often works for TalkSport and Channel 5. As a pundit I can't stand the bloke.

Spot on mate! Some of his articles have been superb, but he does do the odd dodgy one:)
Overall though, I'd say he was my personal fave.

I like Henry Winter, dont really read the paper he writes for but he does a really good column in FourFourTwo magazine, he did a decent piece on Didi Hamann recently and highlighted the fact that he is one if not the most successful footballer in the Premiership today
