View Full Version : Investment...
... after all the various investment threads on the other website that we are all members of (and other web sites for that matter), and given the appearance of the club being skint. What are people opinions, is there a mystery buyer there to help us have more money for transfers or was that all balloney?
Like this site as well lads ... :lfc:

I have come across no evidence of investment other than on internet sites.
Hi ya Tom, I was beginning to think that. I do believe that we are struggling to build the stadium and invest in the team and I was so excited at the prospect of some genuine cash. More fool me... I am beginning to think that more and more these days. Ah well at least I like the new shirt ;)
It was posted on here a few days ago the PWC have been engaged by the Club to find an investor. Quite what their remit is I don't know. How close they are is difficult to say, and PWC will play this very close to their chest.

My opinion is that it is balloney, but I would have said the same if someone had asked me about Abramovich a week before he bought Chelsea.
You never know, there are people rich enough to just write a cheque and buy the club, but I would say it's extremely unlikely.
Kraftamovich :jizz: cum to daddy!!

I don't think we'll have any sort of investment any time soon. As G_Man says of course something could come out of the blue but I seriously doubt it.
I do think Investment is being sought, but im guessing very few people would actually be privvy to this info. I don't believe we will see a takeover of any sorts.*
* maybe this is reverse psychology though.
I believe the board are looking into ways of bringing more cash into the club, however, rightly so they want to do this in a way that minimises any loss in control that they have.
Ideally, I think they would love to net a large sponsorship deal for the stadium, and an invester that is willing to stump up

It's good to remember there was once a real Pablo though, before his position was usurped by the false one.

That's pretty harsh. I like Pablo1981.
It's just he's not as good as the real thing. We all know that. I'm sure he'd admit it himself.
Great use of the word 'baloney' by the real Pablo as well.
The 1981 version seems far more resticted in his vocabulary.

For a while now I've thought of him as 'own label Pablo'.

:o :D
It's that kind of difference that makes you realise he's not just own label, he's the "value" version.

I've often considered him similar to those cheap knock-off "designer" handbags you get it foreign airports- inoffensive and does a job, but look closely and there's a real dearth of quality...
