His team played really badly. That should be the first reason to sack him.

How about not selecting Trezeguet and Flamini? That was shocking
Then continuing with Sagnol who is way way past his best. Picking off-form Abidal ahead of Evra
Persisting with Malouda who has been shocking for the past year.
Not starting Nasri and Benzima together with Henry, Trez and Ribery. That would have been a proper attack to put together.
Why no Mexes in defence? Why select unproven Gomis who obviously flopped too
I could go on and on. Domenech's performance has been appaling. If i was French and gave a toss i would be livid
Juventus striker David Trezeguet has questioned France head coach Raymond Domenech's coaching ability.
Trezeguet announced his retirement from international football on Wednesday, citing the French Football Federation's decision to keep faith with Domenech.
France endured a disastrous Euro 2008 after they failed to progress to the knock-out stages.
The country's performance led to rumours that Domenech was set to be axed as manager.
However, Domenech received the FFF's backing that he would lead Les Bleus to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Consequences
Trezeguet, though, has been left bewildered by the decision, and has questioned Domenech's ability to manage the former World Champions.
"We are all conscious of the fact that Domenech is not at the level to be in charge of the France team," Trezeguet told L'Equipe. "But no one carries out the consequences.
"We don't take into account the opinion of millions of people in France and old footballers, and I'm not talking about those of 1998.
"Michel Platini supported Domenech because he doesn't get on well with Didier (Deschamps - who was favourite to replace him).
"But it's the sporting side that counts."

He lead them by example and I think he was man of the tournament during the last world cup at the tender age of 34. Speaks volumes.
Great player......never a born leader of men though.

I'm not sure one incident proves that.Originally posted by Dessy View Post
As much as I disliked Roy Keane as a player you can't argue that he was a fantastic leader and he did a lot worse and more violent things than Zidane on a football field.
Zidane might not have been a loud aggressive leader who'd grab hold of his players and bark orders at them but the majestic way he played the game must have been a huge source of inspiration for those around him."My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.

Inspirational.....agreed. Great player......agreed. Just never saw him as the great leader of men that say SG is to LFC. Even when your down and chasing, the type of player who'll give 100% committment and lead from the front so to speak?Originally posted by BFG View PostI'm not sure one incident proves that.

I know what you're saying mate and maybe on a wet windy cup game against a lower league team he might not be your man.
When the pressure was on in the really big games though he was certainly a leader. He scored the winner in a Champions League final (probably the best goal ever scored in a CL final), 2 goals in the World Cup final against Brazil and generally performed very well in the major competitions."My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. Ok..I will throw my hat in the ring....for starters:Originally posted by fredo View PostWhich stupid decisions did he make ? It's all about opinions anyway and there'll always be someone, be it in the press or wherever who will never be satisfied. Aime Jacquet, and more recently Luis Aragones have been pilloried by everyone bar their dog.
Abidal at centre back....
Playing Gomis at all
Not playing Evra the first two games
Not playing Nasri when they had to create, but persisting with Makelele AND Toualan
Not selecting Trezeguet for the squad
Useless, spineless astrologist numbskull is what he is
Deschamps ****s all over Domenech
Oh...and playing that useless Malouda....--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--
