    Cristiano wants ‘fresh challenge’.

After refusing to commit his long-term future to Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he plans to start a new adventure.

The Portugal international expects a good reception from United fans when he returns to action despite his aborted transfer to Real Madrid this summer but he has once again increased speculation about his future at Old Trafford.

Despite feeling happy under Sir Alex Ferguson, Ronaldo plans to embark on a new challenge in the near future in order to start a new stage in his exceptional career.

The Ronaldo saga made the headlines throughout the summer and the 23-year-old has added fuel to the fire with a fresh declaration.

“I’m happy at Manchester [United] but sometimes you need new challenges, fresh things for your mental [state] and for your career,” Ronaldo told A Bola.

The Manc's will be nothing without his goals and Fergie knows it too.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
    everyone wants to know

They've won trophies before without him. He didn't help them to the best defence in the league and Europe last year. And he doesn't perform in big games.

Just makes you think weather he will give 100% as he may know that united ill try and price him out of a move next summer. So what better way to knock your price down by having an average season.

Bull****. They are nothing without him.

Saturday proved that. And he does perform in big games, He is the reason they got to the Champions League final and he was the only 1 who was ever going to score in that final.

He saves them time and time again. He won them the double.

Also they will suffer without Carlos Quirez too. When he left them to go to Madrid the first time, United crumbled. And now he has left them again and Fergie's weaknesses will be clear to see again. Quiroz was their tactical genius, not Fergie. Ronaldo is their saviour and when he's not playing they are nothing

bull****. by the same reasoning take torres out our team and we are ****. they have won plenty before he got there and will win plenty without him. tevez, rooney, giggs, anderson, vidic to name but a few. these guys ( especially vidic - IMO best defender in europe bar saturday ) are just as important to united as ronaldo.

Thats nonsense. In the past they never had the compition thats why they won trophies. Nowadays its a different story because the compition is fierce. They won't win trophies without him because he makes the difference between them drawing matches and winning matches, he gives them the edge.

Your Torres idea was proved wrong on saturday. We never had our 2 best players but we came out on top. They were average without Ronaldo. They were average against newcastle, pompey and Zenit too. They are desperate to get him back in

take it you've never watched a footy match outside a liverpool game before?

for how many years during the late 90's and early 00's did arsenal and united battle for the title. probably every year for nigh on a decade.

i cant beleive you honestly see united as a one man team. for years everyone said the same about us and gerard.

How many trophies would they have won in the past two seasons without him. I'll start : None
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

I doubt they would have won the league or champs league without him last year, still a good team but without him they just dont seem to be as fluid up front.
Its no big coincidence that they started winning the league again when Ronaldo started finding his form. He will be a very big loss for them, real pity he didnt go inthe summer.

Carvalho is the best defender in europe

                            Torres agrees with me too.
