How long does he need to develop though. He's been here three years already, had a chance to kick on last year and failed.Originally posted by -V- View PostI would just like to say that Im bloody glad that we never sold him to Sunderland this summer. He's a talented lad and he's got bags of potential. Selling him now would be a huge mistake.
Keep him and let him continue developing, he's going to be a superstar ;-)I make no apologies, this is me

I think he's a decent option as a 4th striker (After Suarez, Carroll and Kuyt). The problem is a couple of seasons ago he was our second choice. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He's still only 22. I'e said for a long time that people are too keen to write players off at a young age. My feeling is the problem is that he needs games to develop a more definite style and more authority on the pitch.Originally posted by Deano View PostHow long does he need to develop though. I'm not sure that we are the right club for him, or that he is the right backup striker for us, but I think he is a very good player."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I would have too a while ago, but now it seems that if he goes, he won't be replaced, so I think we may as well keep him as a back-up.Originally posted by Mostar View PostIf we can get 5m I'd still sell.
Too inconsistent and has the tendency to miss the easy goal scoring chances too often.

And we may quite easily. Unless we can sign an improvement over him and sell him at fair value, he'll stay.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostI would have too a while ago, but now it seems that if he goes, he won't be replaced, so I think we may as well keep him as a back-up.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
