Voronin wasn't great but he was no way near as bad as that.

Voronin was simply an older, past it, version of Ngog.

Nothing could compare to Jova. His one of the worst signings of all times.

Voronin was a bucket of **** of a player......imo he was worse that Jovanovic.......pure toilet altogether,.....

Ngog may as well be kept in my opinion..... in reality, we will probably line up with Carroll up top with Luis buzzing behind him......Kuyt can play wide right or replace Andy C if needed.........and that leaves Ngog as 3rd choice for the main hold-up striker......****in fine in my view.......especially as we won't be playing in europe and chances are we won't need him that much......

also, kenny might get some confidence into him and get him playing well.......

plus he isn't bad as an impact player for 10 mins here and there....

Probably Jovanovic's own fault, but he didn't get that many opportunities to shine, and was probably played more deep than suits him.

No he is not as bad as Jova.

His scored 6 goals and had 5 assists in 39 games he played for us. Much more production than Jova could ever dream.

Weren't most of those goals against Derby County and Besiktas. Voronin was terrible, cannot believe someone actually tried to compare Ngog to him

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I like N'gog. He's got better and better since he's been at the club. He has an excellent mentality, some good skills on him and is a decent finisher. Rumours are that we're running low on funds. I'd be happy enough to see us start the season with Carroll, Kuyt, Suarez and Ngog competing for a striking position.

Left back is the glaring weakness in our team as things stand.

I think the problem with Ngog is that he's very much a confidence player, last season he lost his confidence and was poor for us. I think he's better than hee showed for three quarters of last season

N'gog looks weak as well. Far too easily shrugged off the ball. I wonder if a lot of it is down to his own mentalilty. He looks like he's got a lot of the ingredients to be decent, but so have many of the strikers in the PL, thats why they got there. Taking the next step up is the most important part, and from what she's show in games, he doesn't seem able to do that.

There's parallels to be drawn with Pongolle I reckon. Potential, but just not able to move it on.

For me, time to sell and move up a level or two.

Me too, considering we're not going to be playing European games this season.
