Tell you what, I'm sure if he was playing for United, Chelsea or Arsenal - and putting in the performances that he is right now - then the media would be creaming themselves over this next 'wonderkid'

Be interesting to see how he develops over the next few seasons, as he looks a bargain so far (although it's early days yet). Well in chap, keep it up
To be fair I think they would be biging him up if we were winning more regularly. The story for us is that we are failing, the story for Arsenal is that once again they have produced a young team not quite ready to win the league and Wenger is getting angry. Things that don't fit the simple story don't get said and too many people think that the papers are giving them a reasonable informed opinion.

Makes you wonder how many of our other most promising young players would do given a run in the team.

Makes you think that maybe the gaffer knows when a player is ready and when he isn't.

I am sure even rafa would accept that it's not possible to predict precisely how a player will develop when they actually experience top level opposition in regular competitive games.

Can't really afford to do that though, can we.

I think there are only few strikers who are good enough to play up on their own, and we cant afford two of them.
The lad is what only 20 !! hes doing just fine on the size front and thickening up as you would expect ... he has been a real ray of light the season

With the continuing poor form of some regulars, I think we can to an extent.

He's doing well for us lets hope he keeps doing so, he's certainly not getting the credit he deserves though, maybe that's a good thing as it keeps the pressure off (to some extent)
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Was really impressed with his awareness, run and shot with his 'weaker' foot for the near miss at the far post against Kirkland. Already showing better technique than Kuyt.

He's been really, really good. Fair play to the lad. Hopefully he keeps it going.

I agree. Partly this is PR...Wenger is liked by the press and Rafa isn't. It is also a fact that London papers treat Arsenal more favourably than North-West papers, and vice versa with Liverpool....and for national coverage it serems to be the London media that counts. The reporting of the two Champions League games the other week was a good acse in point. Both LFC and AFC put out reserve teams and lost by a goal, but it was all praise for AFC and all depression for LFC.

Nice one- working out really well for us. What's his goals/games & goals/starts this season?
                            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I'm sure he's started 8 games and scored 6 goals. He's our joint 2nd top scorer. Not sure how many games he's been involved in total.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
