    David Ngog

Developing into a cracking little player. 5 goals in 8 games spearheading the attack of a struggling team and often isolated upfront for large stretches of the game.

Outside of his goal scoring he looks a threat whenever he has the ball. He has a great attitude and it is nice to see a young player having the guts to take on a defender. His game is still a bit too raw but it is obvious that he is developing, learning and maturing with every passing game.

Good Finisher, Good control of the ball and can showboat a bit at times ,
Has a decent amount of trickery also, Does not seem to be phased out by playing upfront on his own without great support.

If he develops physically and continues improving at the same rate, we may have a more than useful squad player on our hands.

Needs a lot of work on his celebrations though

He's getting better and growing in confidence with every game. He's working hard which is more than can be said for Babel or Voronin.

He is improving, and as you say, playing upfront on his own in this pile of poop for the last month or two couldn't have been easy.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Even at his current stage of development, he is better than Voronin. I am fairly confident that he will have a career in one of the European top leagues.

Hopefully players like Pacheco, Ecclestone, Ayala, Kelly, Amoo, Irwin will get a chance to play in the Europa league and develop the same way. There is now an opportunity for some of our youngsters to claim squad places for the next PL campaign.

I dont really think he is going to cut it as a single striker unless he beefs up a bit. I would prefer us to play with two up when Torres does not play. That way Ngog can partner with someone, and make better use of his running.

I think there are only few strikers who are good enough to play up on their own, and we cant afford two of them.

He's 20 isn't he? With his build it'd be pretty surprising if he didn't bulk up.

I'm going to go a bit further than anyone else and say I think he has the potential to be one of the world's top strikers because there's nothing he doesn't have. There's a lot of work before that happens but I'm really excited about his potential and also the excellent work he's putting in currently.

And the fact that he already knows where the goal is.

He has done well to be fair.

Still raw though and needs to keep his head down and keep improving.

He has done well, but I dont think he is much of a threat when on his own. We have far too many strikers who are not dangerous on the ball. In fact we have few players in the quad who have both pace and the ability to dribble; Torres, Gerrard, Babel.... Agger?

I would love to see Babel given a chance up front for a run of games, as he has the ability to skin a defender.

If we had a target man up front alongside Ngog, I can see that being a good partnership. Being a Liverpool striker is a tough job. You play up on your own, without decent wingers to provide crosses, and a single midfielder breaking through the middle.

To think we have several strikers in the reserves who are thought of as being decent, playing one up is not gonna give many a chance, and will probably only see them given a chance on the wing.

I've been impressed with him, he seems to have the right attitude and works hard, he also looks like he wants to do something, he's young and will improve. I don't think he's getting the credit his record deserves, if he was a 20 year old scum player, the press would be hailing him as the next big thing or crediting the manager with getting a bargin. Although maybe the fact he's being over looked is good as it keeps the spotlight and pressure off him
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think he has done really well and is showing great signs of improvement. I think he is holding the ball up so well these days. He already appears stronger and he is learning to use his body and arms to hold off defenders.

He is getting himself in good positions and i hope this continues...

                        Well done lad.

One of the very few positives at the club at the moment.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Did anyone else notice the commmentator last night say that according to Ngog's dad his name should be pronounced 'N'gog' and not 'N'go'.

Shame really as I like the nickname Wash and N'gog really does sound a bit cavemanish -still it's up to the lad to decide what he's called and not his dad I suppose.

Getting better with every game and turning slowly into a great little player, why cant Babel improve like him?

I'll tell you, he doesnt want it as much as N'gog does.
