I'm a fan of Johnson, but to get £9m would be good business.

It would allow us to head back to Southampton's negotiating table for Callum Chambers.

£9m seems like a lot, so all things considered I think I'd be tempted.

But we spent close to that on Aspas (surely gone), Ilori (not sure why we're spending £20m+ on another CB if we still have plans for him) and Alberto (got the dreaded lone move), so not so sure now.

Yeah I'm a fan of Johnson too but he's been poor for 18 months now.

Dunno what it is with him as we all know that he's better than what he's been showing during this time. Injuries taken their toll? Head somewhere else? Or just a natural decline?

On his day he's one of the best RBs around, but he rarely has one of them days now. £9m would be very tempting (providing we have a suitable replacement lined up).
