As regards vs Real... what was he doing!!!?? At fault for the second goal clearly but he literally was wandering around the pitch & it wasn't just over the area where he should be on the right side either. The amount of times we had to shift across the entire back line to cover his absence was ridiculous.

Should never have come in for Manquillo who has done ok here. Don't care if he's a kid, he has shown more desire and determination in a few months here than Johnson has in years.

Manquillo's loan was a two year deal (with some bizarre clauses) so probably not. We'd still have Flannagan and Wisdom anyway.

He's been terrible for FAR too long now. For a player of his experience and on his wages it is simply not good enough. Bizarrely he only seems to put in acceptable performances when he plays on the wrong side. Infuriating to watch, reminds me of how I used to react to Heskey

Absolutely incredible isn't it ?

A supposed vastly experienced international class player, on huge money for the best part of the last decade of his career.

All I see is a lazy footballer who has been mollycoddled and unthreatened in his status in the squad for far too long. Any half decent plodder of a FB would be an improvement.
