I may not have made the point eloquently but did Johnson's form dip or improve under Rodgers? If you have a different point of view thats fine but debate the point instead of trying to score points.

You could use the same logic to say he's responsible for Gerrard getting old and retiring.

Johnson is 30, Rodgers should have had him at his peak.
Rodgers got Gerrard as he just started getting past his (not that he managed that very well either - see John Terry, Frank Lampard, various Man Utd players).

Once again, was Johnson better before or after Rodgers?
Name me one LFC defender that has looked better after Rodgers took charge?

Well, he signed all those players to Liverpool, so he can;t have possibly made them worse for us.

Did his decline coincide with Rodgers's stint as manager?
Has the defence been acceptable during his time as manager?
Has any defender come out with any credit during his time as manager?

A lot, albeit not all, of Johnson's decline seem to be personal to him and not a lot to do with Rodgers.

His positioning problems may well have been a symptom of problems with the wider defence but his massive lapses of concentration, his lack of recovery pace or willing effort to get back, and his at times abysmal distribution are hard to pin on Rodgers.

He used to be really good. He got pretty **** quite abruptly.
