Seems to have settled well at Stoke now and for such a liability in defence, 5 clean sheets from 6 isn't bad going.

Am delighted we have Clyne now and I'm a fan of Moreno too, so it's probably best for all parties that he made the move, but considering our lack of cover in both positions, it would have been nice to have a good player in reserve that can cover both positions.

Everyone looked **** at the back under Brendan. Johnson had experience and cost a lot of money and was therefor a convenient whipping boy. He was never as bad as people were making out, but, as with Moreno was unable to perform the wing back role in Brendan's increasingly desperate and haphazard formations.

He's a solid free signing by Stoke and has 2 assists to his name this season too.

Clyne is definitely an upgrade, but Johnsons versatility would have provided decent cover in both full back positions.

I don't think the club could justify his wages. If we could have got him on less wages he would have been a decent squaddie, but Clyne is so obviously much better than him. He is so good defensively, and has an amazing engine in support of our counter attacks.
