He's doing OK (think some of the praise has been over the top IMO), although his distribution in the first couple of games was a bit wanting.
Made some excellent challenges in the game against Sweden, although he started that game poorly.
Good game last night, and looks at home in the defence, but it'll only take one ****up for the Kyle Walker campaign to get back into full flow next season.

I don’t know, at one stage it certainly didn’t seem like a minority. Even the ones who weren’t criticising him as such still badly exaggerated his defensive frailties.

I suppose once Paul Merson speaks though, people listen.
