In fairness, where Rudo's concerned, i wouldnt have actually been too shocked if he HAD meant Capello

            That's so weak.
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I think Johnson is the best attacking RB in the league. If you are going to defend with the full backs all game I'd probably take other players over him, such as Ivanovic. But with Liverpool actually playing football again I wouldn't swap him for anyone else.

Fair play Martin Kelly is ahead of him at RB atm, but the lads come in and done well and has deserved to be in the team.

But a confident Liverpool side is a better one with Glen Johnson at RB. He'd still be in my starting XI if we were to sign a top level LB like Fabio Contreao. Some would say that's tough on Kelly but he's only a young lad and has plenty of time to make a break through to becoming a regular and I think he'll look back on this season positively.

I think had Insua come through on a more gradual basis he'd still be at Liverpool now.
                Forwards.......

People go on about Johnson's attacking side but what comes of it at the end the day?
                  - **** all if we're being honest, many a time you see him take a few players on but fail with his final ball, he'll also get into a good shooting positions and mess it up.

To be fair he can take players on and has a bit of skill but the majority of the time it leads to nothing.

I just think he's a very careless player and nowhere near good enough to be starting at right back if we're looking to progress.

He also got 3 goals and 3 assists last year in 24 Prem starts compared to 1 assist in 23 games from Zabaleta. If he hadn't have got injured last year, I'm sure them stats would have been much better.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

As well as what RedReet says, you have to remember that he draws players towards him and creates space for others elsewhere. Sometimes just the threat of a player can be enough.

Fair enough, but Johnson's an out and out attacking right back whereas Zabaleta is more defensive minded so i would expect Johnson to have more assists/goals.

Aye that was a half decent cross i suppose, just sort of chipped it in to an area, Kuyt did well to make the most of it.

Well we also had a much better defensive record, we conceded 35 wheras City conceded 45.

                            Dont confuse the one-dimensional thinker.

That's what good crosses usually are - put into the right area, inviting the striker to attack it and score.

You should work with Gray and Keys, your analytical understanding of the game is at about the same basic level.

IMO Rafael looks like he's going to be a top player, bit rash and inexperienced at the moment but he is showing great signs of becoming a quality additions to the mancs.
