He is not on £130k per week as that would make him the higest paid footballer at Liverpool even ahead of Suarez and Stevie, which clearly is not the case.

He is in £75k-80k per week range.

I don't think you are right Mo. I'm pretty sure he was on more than that when he first signed and the lowest you'll find on any Google search for now is £100k.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Stevie is on 150k. Suarez 125k afaik. Glen and Pepe were on 100k

Even £80kpw would be too much. He should be on ~ £65kpw

I may be little bit off but I do not believe he is nowhere near 130k per week or even 100k per week.

Not that we can confirm his wages totals one way or another but here are some posts:

Agreed, Hicks and Gillett didnt make much available for transfers but they didnt seem to give a **** about the wage bill and we were handing out some huge contracts. Plus we beat off City and Chelsea to get him so he's bound to be on a huge wedge not that I mind, he's boss.

Does anyone think we could replace Glen with a RB that's as good a player and with lower wage demands ? I don't, I think we're lucky to have GJ, he's one of our few CL quality players left, if he wants 100k a week I'd say give it to him.

I think he is underrated by far too many Liverpool fans.

i would hope we would keep him too

there isn't many good right backs about - and we're not in a position to go and sign top class players unless we get back into champions league

who knows tho - for all we know our scouts might have their eye on someone who might cost £10m and want £70k a week and will offer just as much as Johnson

All reports that I've seen since he joined put him well into the £100k bracket. I can't see us spending £19m on a fullback and 'only' offering him £60k per week.

Yep. A lot of non-LFC fans seem to think he's crap too. **** 'em.

Sadly I think he'll go in the summer though. If you look at wages, age, injuries, contract length and the fact that he's been learning Spanish for some time says to me that he'll go.

                      Hope I'm wrong though.

I wonder if we are willing to let his contract run down in the hope that in 18 months, McLaughlin is ready to step up, saving us having to spend money on a replacement.

Regardless, if the wages are anywhere in that region, it will be very difficult anyway to find a willing buyer this summer willing to pay a fee suitable to us and to match his wages.

Bit of a gamble but yeah, it's possible. How's McLaughlin doing this season?

I'd like to see Johnson here for a few more years yet, regardless. Not only is he a cracking RB, he's also a quality LB.

He was brilliant playing LW against Spurs two weeks ago. Not as noticable against WBA last week, but generally we weren't that great.

how long before ilori gets a turn at rb from the bench. has he played for the resi's yet? we need to start blooding these lads to see if they are viable alternatives.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He is a young CB who I don't think has ever played RB.

Just because he is quick doesn't mean he can play that position and given we are currently playing with wing backs it would be a huge risk to throw a CB into that position.
