Johnson has been so poor it's unreal, and the worst thing is we don't have any cover/competition so he knows he'll start every week - he's just coasting through doing the bare minimum knowing that it will prob just be enough to justify him getting on the plane to Brazil in the summer.

really frustrating that there seems to be some issues still with Kelly cause he can't get a sniff at the moment, and when the only other fit full backs at the club are an underpeforming johnson and completley **** cissokho it doesn't look great

I have always thought Johnson is overrated. He is a one trick pony, if we manage to get top four this season, LB/RB first team players need to be a priority in the summer transfer window. £100,000 p/w for the dross he produces is ridiculous.

it just looks like he's checked out. He's prob been told he isn't getting the money he wants...if he wants to stay it's say £70k a week for 2/3 years - not the £100k a week for the rest of his life he wants

his agent has probably already got a list of clubs saying they will pay him £100k a week that he wants

Plus added to that Johnson has zero competition for his place.

As i said above, he's just cruising/doing the bare minimum to make sure he plays each week which ultimatley will mean he's will do just enough to get on the plane to Brazil

in fact being England's most 'senior' right back, i wouldn't be surprised if hodgsons told him that providing he is fit come the summer he's going....not saying he will start but imo the only reason he won't make the squad will be because he's injured.

Its a risky World Cup strategy that though PTP - he has a national press ready to campaign on him being poor defensively and ready to shout for the Spurs right back to come in and take his Ingerlund place. On form, there isn't anything between them - they're both rubbish.

He's so bang average right now its unreal. He's either carrying an injury which would explain his ****ness or he knows he's not getting a new contract and is in not bothered mode. He's ALWAYS been prone to being lazy or slack at times but he made up for it by being bloody good most of the time. But for most of this season he hasn't looked bothered. Get him out.

Walker's playing better under Sherwood. Johnno's got to put in 2 or 3 decent performances at least to guarantee a starting role under Hodgson. I reckon he'll wait until the last 5 games of the season before he starts trying again.

Would be brilliant if we got a decent-ish right back in and GJ never kicked a ball for us again.
