    Great news.

In the 4 games since he's come back into the side - fully fit for the first time in a while - we've scored 15 goals.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

We probably scored more than 15 goals in the four games before that.
      Oh I don't know.

        16 goals. I meant 16 goals.

I know he carried an injury for a long time, but his form for most of the season was very poor. I wouldn't be surprised if his head hasn't been elsewhere and I also wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't sign a new contract. He's on mega money - remember Rodgers off the record comment about his wages shortly after joining? We are probably offering Glen a reduced wage and he is looking for one last big pay day.

I hope he signs a new contract but my gut feeling is if he can get the wages he wants he'll go either this summer or next when he is on a free.

With the wages he was reportedly on, I'm not so sure this would represent good value, especially a long contract.

Indeed. And if he goes, we'll cope fine without him.
                Oh I don't know.

He probably wouldn't which is is why the club won't match the current deal. I'd match it though because regardless of 'value' I have a soft spot for Glen and love watching him in a red shirt.

I've never really taken to him in that way. He's been a very good player for us but he's not really one of us. It's been years but I still have this sense of him as a Chelsea player who had to 'make do' with playing for us. Not sure why I have that impression, but there you go.

I like him. And he's a very good player. But he has his fair share of injuries and dips in form. Does he deserve a pay rise? Not in my opinion. But it's not my decision so I'll be happy with whatever outcome arises.

If he wants to move somewhere else because of money, then good luck to him.
                        Oh I don't know.

He's good enough but not sure we should be looking to extend at his age and £. Arbeloa or Finnan were better defensively and still offered something going forward.

I like a lot of people thought he was a cert to be off, sooner rather than later. But the tone of his comments recently coupled with Rodgers words above, certainly looks positive for hsi future here.

A fully fit in form Johnson in this team is a great asset.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Amazed at the apathy surrounding Johnson. The best English RB in the league (not saying much, granted), at his best only Zabaleta is better in the league, and he would cost a premium to replace.

Flanagan is here to stay in my view but I see him as a squaddie and, for now at least, would like top quality in both full back positions.

Johnson has a great link-up down the right with Henderson and Sterling (also Suarez), he fits the way we play and is an experienced head in a young team. I accept his top heavy wages are an issue but absolutely no way do I want him replaced.

When Glen is good he's very good but when he's bad he's awful. He switches off in games from time to time and the frequency seems to be increasing with age. Having said that he'd be expensive to replace so it's a tricky one.
