Well this thread has escalated!

Johnson, much like Skrtel whom i personally have been critical over, have improved under Kenny, actually everyone has. Do i think Johnson has justified the fee we paid for him? No, not a chance. But his improvement (which lets be honest was well fricken needed) is most welcome and long may it last as he still has a way to go IMO.

IMO we all go overboard when players have a few **** games, just as much as we knee jerk when players have few good games, i'm sure all every supporter of a team in every sport does exactly the same thing. Swings and roundabouts & we're all guilty of it.

I don't see the point in a witchhunt it's nuts, personally abusing someone over football comments FFS always a pissing contest and usually it's very knee jerk, what's the problem with sitting back and enjoying the LFC revival

He has served his teams with distinction. You don't play for a championship side for a number of years and sit on the bench for Liverpool unless you are a quality keeper. He was given his debut at the age of 20 by the Famous Pat Fenlon, then Managing the mighty Shelbourne FC. Thats real quality guys.

No worries kris but as regards Lucas,Johnson,Spearing,Maxi,Skrtel,Kuyt,Ngog in particular there has been mass mixed opinions on all of these players, big talking points and contrasting views. So in those cases in particular i think most of us are guilty in some way or another.

And to be fair there are also some people that do defend the indefensible, even if constructive criticism is due.

Anyways for me Glen Johnson has been 100% better under Kenny, and most importantly for me more defensively sound which was a bit of a problem or him in last year or so. I like the way we have lots of competition at right and left back these days. The youngsters genuinely do look impressive, although i was saying that about Insua when he got his first runs of games and he deteriorated dramatically IMO so it's early days but looks very promising at LFC these days, breath of fresh air to see talented youngsters coming through the ranks, could save us millions.

Yeah mate it's fantastic, lots to finally smile about. Young players coming through, squad players upping their game, starting 11 playing out of their skin. The improvement of Spearing in particular has shocked me, talk about a different player!!
