Didnt think it got THAT bad really. With all due respect, i think some mods can be overzealous at times. The first sign of disagreement or a bit of harmless joking/banter, and threads get closed. I wasnt having a go or anyone or being disrespectful - just offering a sincere and well-intentioned opinion and i hope/think the mods are intelligent enough to realise this and big enough to accept it.

Well this thread has escalated!

Johnson, much like Skrtel whom i personally have been critical over, have improved under Kenny, actually everyone has. Do i think Johnson has justified the fee we paid for him? No, not a chance. But his improvement (which lets be honest was well fricken needed) is most welcome and long may it last as he still has a way to go IMO.

Given the circumstances, Arbeloa going and Portsmouth going bankrupt. In terms of mitigating losses, buying him at the price we paid (Includes writting-off some Crouch debt) was a no-brainer.

He doesn't get beaten very often, but tbf that's because he's still on his way back from the attacking third while the opposition LW is putting balls in or tearing into our box. I'm glad we have him, but not sure he's ever kept a top class winger quiet like Finnan/Arbeloa used to do.
