Im not sure whether Kuyt is just going through a purple patch or Kenny has just learned to utilize him properly. Is this his highest total for Liverpool in a season? Between Carroll, Suarez and Kuyt as our 3 strikers we could be getting enough but if there is only 1 winger signed then I'd agree we need a different 3rd striker.

The problem with Kuyt playing as a striker previously was that we weren't creating chances or space for him, When Torres was at his best he was creating stuff for himself regularly, and the movement off the ball from other players was woeful, Swapping Kuyt for Torres directly in that system didn't suit Kuyt. Now we have Suarez and players making good runs off the ball, we are putting chances on a plate for Kuyt and the movement of other players creates space for him, he's much more suited to this style of play.

Obviously the ratio of goals to games is very high at the moment from Kuyt, this will probably drop a little when he isn't taking penalties (you'd assume Gerrard will take over when he returns)

We do miss a goal poacher alright, although i do think Suarez will score a lot more goals, when there are more creative players in the side and Suarez can be utilized more closer to goal.

As regards poachers i like Guissepe Rossi, IMO he's a great little player, fox in the box so to speak, surely sooner or later big club is going to come in for this lad.
