    Again though who is better???

    Comment

on this form the tea lady might get a game.

surely the most important thing is having someone on the pitch in every position who is up for it and capable. we know glen is capable on his day, but who knows when he will next be arsed enough to put in a proper shift.

I agree he is not on his game at the moment but I think his standards are high and any drop from that is noticeable.
I've heard there's this young lad at Derby getting rave reviews that we're linked with called Wisdom

He is hardly a liability though not on top form I agree but some would have you thinking he is costing us goals every week.

We are still a much better team with him than without.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He could definitely do with some decent competition for his place IMO. His form has been patchy this season, as he's pretty much guaranteed to start whenever fit.

He just seems a bit slow to react to any situation at the moment. I also think he's not aggressive enough in his defending.

He's better than this. It's frustrating as he should be thriving in this current setup.

Really annoying, as we all know he can do better. He was great in the Fulham game but since then he has been basically our worst player in every game

We talking Johnson? He's costing us goals at both ends as he's giving the ball away quite a bit at the mo.

But he's in bad form, when in better form he's a strong player for us.

Enrique is another who gives the ball a away a bit too much. We can defo improve the fullbacks.

Got any examples? I can't remember him being directly responsible for us conceding.

Every time any player gives the ball away we are more likely to concede goals.

And from what I can see at the moment, he's giving it away more than he usually does.

That also costs us at the other end.

he isnt directly responsible, like if you watch highlights you only see the move immediately prior to the goal.

but if you look a little further back you will see glen johnson having a little nap and not closing down a player. then as the player comes to the goal with the ball johnson just keeps backing off, reluctant to stand his ground and make a tackle of try and turn the attacker to the outside.

he might bomb forward and looks positive, but the possession might be lost and he is left 30 yards up the pitch. he then isnt seen as being directly responsible for the following goal, but being so far out of position means other players have to come over to try and deal with the advancing attackers, and this can leave space for other attackers to utalise. this is then an real goal threat, all created by a player not filling in, tracking back, challenging his man, backing off, etc.

you might miss it if you are only watching the highlights on your phone.

I like Johnson, but he is playing like his head is up his arse and has done for a while.

He looks like a player who has mentally checked out and is just going through the motions. I wonder if he knows he is on his way due to high wage demands or an offer from abroad he wants to take.

Plus the fact he has zero competition for his place.

The only other thing I can think of his he has his eyes on the World Cup and he is playing at 70% so he doesn't get injured

Thing is tho, he won't get in the England side unless he bucks up his ideas

Thanks for the patronising tone like.

As I said he is not playing great but the system we play demands the full backs get forward and they will be caught up the pitch from time to time however the other players will have been detailed to cover and drop in when this happens.

Both fullbacks were really far up the pitch for the 2nd goal and the space is exploited in behind Cissokho the centre backs and goalkeeper should do better when City counter.

But you know it is difficult for me to see all of this when I am watching on a Nokia 3210.
