Clyne is quick and very attacking, good cross on him but not amazing defensively or in the air. He's also about 3 years older than Chambers, who reads the game very well for such a young kid, is very solid in the tackle, but does need to work on his play going forward. He was excellent in their last game against us I thought despite us winning convincingly, and generally has a higher ceiling than Clyne I think.

I reckon we won't sell anyone who's in our first team, bar Suarez and Agger, so Johnson won't go. We're already looking to bring in at least 5 players, so to carry on with our progress it's crucial we don't disrupt too much the squad.

Been a fan of Johnson and always stuck up for him but his form since January has been dismal and shows no sign of improving. Is it me or has he bulked up considerably in the last two years or so? It doesn't seem to have helped his game, especially going forward. Much less dynamic. Remember when he first signed? Flying down the wing, stepovers, beating people for fun etc. Much less of that now. Anyway, I've given up on him. Sell.

He was absolutely staggeringly immense against Belgium. Could've been a one off like. The lad he replaced, Fabian Johnson, had had a fantastic tournament too. Both look athletic, good on the ball, strong and both have unreal appetites to get up and down for 90 minutes.
