I’m sure he asks himself that very same question with the support he gets and although it’s no excuse, I’m sure has some effect on his performances. I’m sure it was easier to ignore the abuse when he knew he was playing well, but when you’re struggling for form and it seems like every idiot is on your back, well I’d be pissed off too.

How long is his struggling for form supposed to last for though? 2 seasons?

Well I would argue that he was decent in Rodgers first year and up until November 23rd last year when we played Everton, he’d played 6, won 5, drew 1, and only conceded in one game. Factor in the previous end of season form and he had 10 clean sheets from 13from April ’13-November’13 which isn’t bad for a liability.

So I would say he’d been out of form for approximately 6 months when most of it he has been struggling with injury.
