No idea what started it. From what I've seen (I don't follow Morgan), he just likes contacting footballers and antagonising them. Most of his tweets seem to be about his audience in America - yawn - and correcting people's spelling mistakes.

He takes the piss out of Michael Owen regularly for always being on the United bench. I'm not a fan of Owen obviously, but he's achieved far more in life than Morgan could ever dream of. ****.
