Just going back to Kompany suspension if it is 4 games, then he may only miss the 2nd leg of our semi with them if this doesn't go to a replay (assuming the date of the replay is between now and then). The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Letter of the law, two footed challenge leaving the ground equals red card.Originally posted by rcasemore View Postno complaints from Kompany there, ****ing harsh red. Yet more inconsistency with refs this season, seen far worse not punished and he took the ball.
However the highlighted word in bold says it all about a lot of decisions made in our top league.
If every challenge like that equalled a red card and clubs were told that is what would happen then fair enough, but it just seems to be down to the referee to look at who made the challenge, which team he plays for, who they are playing against and then decide if he wants to be in the limelight or not.

It is very much Jack Rodwell type of situation.Originally posted by Chris View PostThat'll get rescinded. I know the FA dont usually rescind cards for tackles like that but that was absolutely nothing, he'll get off.
Fa will overturn this decision and I expect him to be ready and available for Wedensday.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Presumably it was a straight red for violent conduct (or whatever it's called now) hence the straight red rather than 2 yellows, so I'd imagine if it isn't overturned it would be an automatic 3/4 game banOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostIs that not what the ref will deem it?
Dunno to be fair, just got the 4 match ban stuff from a journo on Twitter.
Jones hacks down Aguero from behind - no card. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Only meant to give a red if the tackle bares excessive force, yellow otherwiseOriginally posted by SimonNo7 View PostLetter of the law, two footed challenge leaving the ground equals red card.

Look at where he took the ball, not even a foul mate. As yu say there it's about the side who is either making the claim for/against it seems.Originally posted by SimonNo7 View PostLetter of the law, two footed challenge leaving the ground equals red card.
