Hard to say.........he's no doubt a very individually 'focused' person (otherwise known as a cunt).
Problem with him was, beside the whole 'was he ever one of us' etc, was that England/media bug bit hard and early.........since that he was only ever focused on himself and England.
Liverpool became no more than a step in his 'journey', same with Newcastle (trying to get back into the England setup after playing **** all for Real), but when ManU came calling, he saw that as confirmation of his belief in himself as still being a top footballer.
Little did he know he was finished a long time back.
Loyalty means nothing to him, except loyalty to himself.........whether that's right or wrong, is up to him to decide, and seeing as how he's made his money, he probably doesn't give two ****s.
