    Stoke boss Tony Pulis has spent the past couple of months hoping to persuade Owen to head to the Potteries and now appears to have won his battle.

    A good day for Liverpool.......we've got some shoddy people making transfer decisions these days, and this guy coming in would have been the icing on the cake.

            Played his best football latching on to through balls, including those over his shoulder. Trouble now is that he needs a decent head start. I'd expect him to be this season's worst offender at getting caught offside

              I don't think MO will be doing anything like that or what he used to do.

              I guess he will be told one thing and one thing only. Goal Hang MO. They will hoof the ball up to a target man and expect him to poach the ball and do what ever he can.

                          The fact that Pulis said it took two months to persuade Owen to join Stoke suggests they were his last resort. Clearly nobody else was genuinely interested in him but he held out until after the transfer deadline just in case.
