U19 Professional Team Tournament. Yucatan, Mexico, August 2016

It's a long shot but a local professional team has given me the task of finding an English professional team that would be interested in sending a U19 squad to Mexico next summer for a preseason tournament.

They are a third division professional club which is 5th tier professional football, the lowest professional level in Mexico. 3rd division teams are all U19 which is why the invitation is for a U19 squad.

It would be 6 games in 3 cities. Cancun, Quintana Roo, Merida, Yucatan and Campeche City, Campeche.

A team from Argentina will also be taking part.. The team has an association with Newell Old Boys. Actually Maxi will be visiting in December and will spend time with the academy where my son plays so we are both excited about that.

They are willing to provide accommodation, transport and food for the team.

It needs to be a professional team, preferably one that people will have heard of over here lol.

They are really interested in an English team but if any of you have contacts with professional teams from other countries, especially Europe, that might be interested then please let me know and I'll ask them.

A team from the USA would also be welcome but they couldn't provide financial support for a team from the USA because you are already very close to Mexico so your cost to come would be much lower than a team from Europe.

So if any of you have contacts with a professional team or any suggestions of how I can find a team please let me know.

Just to be clear, just like lower division teams across the world money is tight so it's really quite a generous gesture to offer to pay for accommodation, transport and food by them. Don't be thinking they are rolling in money. They are really interested in experiencing playing against foreign teams but recognize its difficult to attract teams from Europe because of the cost.
