Did they test positive on International duty though? Allowed them to isolate without it spreading to the squad? As they will have been playing and training together so recently would be a danger of exposing opposition players to it too.
I assume that the NYD game is at risk too. So many fixtures to fit inFootball without Origi is nothing

Premier League statement on the cancellation of Everton v Manchester City at 20:00 GMT:
Manchester City’s fixture at Everton, due to be played at 8pm this evening, has been postponed following a Premier League Board meeting.
Manchester City lodged a request with the Premier League today to rearrange the game following an increase in positive COVID-19 test results received by the club this morning, on top of the cases reported on Christmas Day.
This rise has created uncertainty and the Premier League Board received medical advice that the match should be postponed. The Board agreed to rearrange the game as a precaution, and further testing will now take place tomorrow.
The decision has been taken with the health of players and staff the priority.
The Premier League continues to have full confidence in its protocols and rules, and the way in which all clubs are implementing them.
The League wishes those with COVID-19 a safe and speedy recovery and will rearrange the postponed fixture against Everton in due courseOh I don't know.

Just wish, either he would stay on his feet more or Ref's wised up; great player but at Kane levels of snide. would absolutely hate him at the mancs, can you even begin to imagine how bad that would beOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostGrealish is a really good player. Always making things happen.

While player safety has to come first so they were probably right to postpone this. There does need to be clarity on why the circumstances here were different to those faced by other clubs or there will be accusations of different sides being treated differently.Originally posted by shanks69 View PostThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
