    Your ideal first 11

1st I would like to apologise for those who might have done this in the past or if it has been done to death but I would like to hear peoples opions if everyone was fit and why would you choose that particulour formation/players, my biggest problem was what i think after viewing posts on est is a problem we have right now is how to or if to accomodate momo, alonso and s.g and to be honest its a toughy, i'm a big fan of all three and I dont think I could leave steve g out or could play him on right because I think he leaves the rb exposed at times and i also think alonso has a bit more experience over momo at the moment so thats my centre midfield, imoa the defence can pick themselves now its my wingers, Kewell and Pennent for me and then Kuyt and Bellers for upfront, Nothing really exciting, shocking but i think its the best 11 plus who do you think we should 'replace' if any in the transfer window coming up, thanks for reading

    Reina
    Finnan Carragher Agger Riise

    Pennent Gerrard Alonso Kewell

    Kuyt Bellamy

    ----------------Reina
    Finnan------Carra----Agger----Riise
    ---------Alonso------Sissoko
    Gerrard------------------------Kewell
    -----------Bellamy----Kuyt

Gerrard is our best right winger and we need Sissoko to break up the attacks.

What we need is a new left back, right winger and a better attacking playmaker than Garcia.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

yea, that was my big problem, it was really a toss up between the team i have and the one you have for reason of sissoko breaking up the breaks but stevie on his day in the middle i dont think there is no-one who can touch him

Agree. Suggestions as to who that should be. I can't think of anyone that we could hope to get in this transfer window.

BTW I'd want another RB, if only for cover.

I've just read a post of yours saying Xabi is our best ball winner, now Momo is needed to break up attacks - which one is it?

But we do lack flair, we are becoming workmanlike in our approach without getting the crowd excited or the opposition frightened of our attacking play.

We need some flair somewhere, a bit of unpredictability, a drop of the shoulder, a dribble past the last defender, someone to get the crowd going and on the edge of their seats when he has the ball, the excitement factor.

Regularly switching between having 3 and 2 CBs is a recipe for disaster IMO. Good defences are built on strong understandings being developed and players knowing their jobs.

I only have Sissoko in the team because we need him to break up the attacks so Xabi can play higher up the pitch.

                        Right winger.....Alves
Left back.........Abidal or Lahm or maybe Insua
Attacking playmaker....Diego or use Gerrard in that position.

I've pondered that idea but I can't see it working, Xabi is best always being available for the easy pass in that deep position. Momo can't play that game yet IMO. If Momo's passing was better our options would be so much better but alas it is poor and I don't think pushing Xabi ahead of him would be a good idea.

This could be a reason to why Rafa want Mascherano. If we got him then Xabi could play higher up the pitch and that would give Rafa another option that we don't have right now.

What do you think Javier is going to bring to the table though. He seems more like a passer than a ball winner to me, and that seems the opposite of what Rafa is after.
