Stevie G - more like it lad

Much more of a captains role today, he looked well fired up for this one, getting stuck in and taking the heads off some of our lads for sloppy play and without condoning nasty/reckless play it was great to see him fly into a few strong challanges with Huddlestone, Dawson and co, throwback to younger days, hopefully see more of that in the future.
    Well in Stevie

what?, i thought he was not good today, made many horrible passes and did not attack very much plus he scored an own goal.

stevie was pants most of the game, he upped his game in the last 20 minutes and was good defensively, but offensively he had a shocker today, very bad passes from him today, hung very deep and rarely challenged a player...

he was not one of our better players tonight, and the best part is we managed with out him exceeding...

Perhaps he's been reading your posts about not doing much in big games?

Sorry to piss on your chips mate, but that's a pile of ****. His passing was sloppy, no rampaging runs, his 1-2 passes hardly ever came off, and more besides. Now i'm not criticising him for it because him and Xabi have had to play an awful lot since the start of Novemeber, without hardly any rotation, so it's no wonder he's off his game a bit cos he must be nackerd especially with the time of year.

                But your assessment is wrong.

He's been sitting a lot deeper recently with Momo out, and Xabi's been getting further forward. Perhaps on instructions from Rafa.

I thought he was, as he has been in many games since he moved to the centre, average to poor, and looked very disinterested at times.
