The media side is the downside, but not sure they are so into it anymore, kids and the effect on the kids can play a massive part.

If the option was stay as we are, with Stevie not wanting to play wide right or get Beckham on say a loan or 18month deal i'd take the gamble of Beckham.

Or we could go out and sign someone from another club who is younger, quicker, more skillful, hungrier and absolutely none of the media attention that he brings with him.

Quick fix or not I can't stand the thought of having that manc cast off wearing our shirt. I honestly can't see what he would bring other than front page media attention, his stupid looking bag of bones and the paparazzi that follows them.

If signing someone else wasn't an option I'd rather go with what we've got than sign Beckham. Pennant, Finnan, Gerrard, Kuyt or Bellamy could all do a job on the right for us.

I honestly can't belive that people are reacting like this to signing him. He's nothing but a ****ing media circus and where ever he goes that skeletal bint is following along and pouting at anyone that'll pay her the slightest bit of attention. He's a circus and nothing but.

Becks can still pass. He is highly rated among players. Works his ass off and on the pitch. The money he would bring in could build a stadium. From all accounts is a very nice guy. Gets on very well with Stevie and Carra and speaks a few words of Spanish.

We know the Villa/Crotch thing is bollox because Rafa said so only a couple of days ago, however, I wouldn't be surprised if we had a go at getting Beckham.

By trying to sign Figo, Rafa showed that he is not averse to golden oldies and IMO i think ol' golden balls could still offer something. Lets face it, he'd be better than Pennant.......

He was apparently shown round Melwood and Anfield a couple of years back when Rafa first came in and Beckham looked to be leaving Real Madrid. Obviously nothing materialised so whether the story was true or false I have no idea. I remember an interview with him as well where he was asked bout playing for other clubs in the prem like us or Arsenal etc... and he said that it wouldn't bother him as both were "fantastic teams". So it's possible that he would be happy to play for us.

I still wouldn't want him at Anfield though.

I'd take Beckham on loan or whatever in an instant. There's still no-one in the game who can cross a ball as well as him. Most european teams would love a player like him and if he's available then even better. I think he'd be better suited moving to England or Europe than wasting his time in America just cos someone want's him to go there to advance their career, no names mentioned of course.
