Okay to put it simply. David Villa says that he has no desire to play abroad. Valencia say that he has a contract until 2010 and his buyout clause is £100,000,000 for anyone who wants him, in other words they want more than the quoted £25,000,000 which we can't afford. It simply isn't going to happen.

£25,000,000 why not???

I doubt very much that Valencia would turn down £25m for him. They said a year ago that Aimar wasn't for sale and they sold him for £7m.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
I just can't see it. Sure we'll have a bit more cash that's not in question but with Villa saying he doesn't want to move Valencia will demand more than that. It's not as if he's asking for a move is it? If that was the case they'd have to sell but with him reitirating time and again that he has no desire to play abroad, especially England, Valencia will simply say what they're saying now. "The buyout clause is £100,000,000 if you want him that's the price." i.e. He would cost upwards of £25,000,000 possibly even as close to £35-£40,000,000. I don't care how much investment we get we won't pay that.

Just playing a bit of Devils Advocat mate i see where your coming from. Maybe Villa says he doesnt want to move so as to not get Valencias back up and them to play hard ball with teams that want to sign him.
With a new stadium on the way for Valencia around 25 mill or so for him i doubt they would reject that from anyone who bids

You're right Valencia do have a stadium to finance but so do we. This investment we get isn't going to be a bottomless pit of cash. If we were going to sign Villa it would have been when he was at Zaragoza. he said at that time he didn't want to come here and he's reiterated that on numerous occassions since. This is real life and not Football Manager.

Will just go for Kaka then
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........
I was going to say him but that wont be as difficult as Kaka to get
Why not both?
