I do not care what he is saying or has said. There could be a thousand reasons for the things he says. The only questions are:

1. Does Rafa rate him? Absolutely
2. Can we afford him? With the new investment, absolutely
3. Would he want to come? With the new investment and Rafa in charge, he would be silly not to consider it.

These 3 questions are the only ones I can look at. Anything else is guess work.

No one knows what plans DIC have. They could give Rafa all the money he wants but they could also just buy the club and not give Rafa that much more money than he gets now.

If they want to win trophies then Rafa will get much more money to spend.

Don't get me wrong I'd love us to sign him, he's a great player, but realistically there's no way it'll happen. Anyone that has high hopes that it will are kidding themselves on.

Those 3 questions are just guess work as well.

1. Rafa has said he rates him. Cant see a reason not to belive that.

2. DIC have said that money will go to strengthen the team. I think we can all agree that is the most likely.

3. Ok, this is my opinion. But if he does not want to move up from Valencia he is IMHO not very ambitious and there for Rafa would not rate him, and if he would rather join Real then us then so be it.
