Apart from the fact that he's a great keeper, his distribution is second to none. It's vital that attacks can be initiated from the goalkeeper - Dudek just isn't good enough at getting the ball out quickly in my opinion. Hopefully Reina will build on the success of last season - I still can't believe how young he is, he could become the best goalkeeper in the World.

Aye that did my head in too. I read he was "officially" 2nd choice, but Canizares got the nod in the 'dead rubber' because of his age and that it was very likely to be his last chance of a World Cup appearance.

Absolutely love Pepe. He's a cross between Brucie and that bumbling Danish ******* who used to keep goal for the Mancs. I say it time and time again, but the thing that marks a merely good 'keeper apart from a great one is mental strength and, in particular, the ability to bounce back from a mistake. Reina is immense in that department which is why he will go on to become a great 'custodian' (love that word ).

Pepe is the man.

He was absolutely brilliant last season and now he already wants to extend his contract. We are so lucky to have him in the goal. Most people talk about Gerrard or Carragher but everyone should remember the massive improvement in goalkeeping department that Pepe has brought.

Dudek was absolutely fantastic in his first season at Anfield.

Not a lot better as Reina is very good.
But Dudek in his 1st season was really world class. I dont remember a single mistake in that season.
Reina had 2 or 3 last season.

He did, plus remember his terrible clearances in his first few games?? That aside though, his commanding of the box and his sweeping has been fantastic.
