just because he's an argie, doesn't mean you have to love him.
he was **** tonight,
if you can see any positives from his game tonight, i would like to see you try.
Again I blame Rafa for this one, he played his two slowest center backs (and lets be honest they couldn't beat a one legged man in a sprint between them) against a team that has such pace up front, it was doomed from the start.
I still have hopes for Paletta, but he needs to play with Carra or Agger, an absolutely diabolical decision to play him with Hyypia.
True it was our lack of pace at the back that was most evident tonight I thought, something needs sorting.

I couldnt disagree more. Nationality plays absolutely no part whatsoever.
Sad truth is, every first team match he has played in he has been extremely poor. His positional sense is atrocious and seems to have no concentration and makes very basic errors.
Having said that playing with Sami didnt help. Sami is slow, but you'd think he'd at least guide the lad through the game, get him into position etc, but he was too busy getting given the run around by Aliadiere.
I honestly didnt think he played as poorly as some of you suggest, made a few good sliding tackles, was a bit weak at times when he should have held his own. But I thought he did alright, plus he set up a goal.
You can't tell me you thought he did better defensively than the hugely experienced sammi hyypia. He looked uncomfortable, dwelled on the ball in the box and conceded a penalty.
It wasnt a great performance but dont let a young player with a lot to learn but a lot to give take the rap for it.
Not consistent enough yet, But that's hardly surprising considering his age

That, my dear friend, is nowhere near "The Truth"
We call anyone pants if the cap fits, nationality doesn't even enter the equation, and shame on you for ever thinking that way.

The thing is, most Premiership teams these days have great pace up front, so why do we buy slow centre-backs?

Are you MAD, i could give a ****e if he came from ****ing Timbuctoo, fact is he had a **** game. But i dont blame him, we put a bad side out, only 2 from Saturdays team and 1 of them was Dudek. ( i may be wrong on this fact )
I know its little, but thats David Banner. Just wait untill you see the Incredible Hulk

Did I say he was good? He was ****e as were the whole team, but I think he can make the step up.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06
Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
