Thanjk you.

I thought the poor defensive performance had much more to do with the full backs for what it's worth. They kept getting caught too high up the field - the Arse kept putting diagonal balls over the top of the FBs, splitting the CBs and making defensive errors more and more likely. With a more solid pairing either side, the CBs stick together and can follow a plan - I thought they kept getting dragged all over the place and, when called upon, that Paletta didn't do half bad under the circumstances. I think he's pretty promising myself - a few games where he's made to look bad might do him good - look at Daniel Agger...
The whole team was all over the place that night, plus journos love trolling easy targets. So I think i'll hold judgement until i've seen him in a few games.
While it's an attack on Paletta, it does raise the question of whether he has come to England too soon?
Maybe River Plate would have been a better stage for his talents for one so young?
I agree what we should do is send him on loan to Spain or to River, by the looks of him he just needs to play more and with a better defense than the one that was playing against Arsenal. I would like to have seen him with Finnan, Carra and even Riise with him, I remember preseason a lot of people were saying how good he was playing. Also he didn't do that bad in the other games he has played in.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06
Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And why pinpoint on Paletta and not on one of Wenger's kids ?
What's your problem. The article is spot on.
Vickery mostly focuses on the Argies... think he may be that loon Diego or some ****. Though I do remember him waffling on about Javier Mashereno (sp?) being the next best thing to happen to Arsenal.
Vickery has a good track record and talks some sense, there's squat all wrong with this article. The fact is, Rafa signed him early to avoid his fee going up after a few years at River. He's finding out that some players struggle when they come to the EPL because of its pace... something Rafa struggled to grasp early doors when scouting players IMO.
Wenger always buys nippy players (senderous etc rare exceptions) and coaches them well... Arsenal must be the quickest team in the country if not Europe!

Oh come on FFS. You're as fickle as these blue****e.
I think Paletta would have been helped with Reina behind him, he has never played with Reina as far as I am aware. He has mainly also played alongside Agger (The Arsenal game being the exception, but even then he at Peltier at right back) Sadly it is a big risk putting him against prem opposition , but I feel something like that would help his game, say if we get a good lead.
I think the article makes a good deal of sense.
Paletta has shown very little so far that leads you to think he can make the grade at LFC. Thats not to say he isn't a good defender in the right team.
He's obviously shown plenty of promise back home but I always have reservations about signing players from S America as their record in England is so poor. Plenty better & more experienced players than Paleets have failed to make the grade in England and if the same fate awaits Paletta, it should come as a shock to nobody.
