There lies the problem, he's probably worth more than that already, so we missed out, again.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing is guaranteed, he may not have adapted tp the Premiership the same, but its all about calculated risk, little Juninho managed well enough so no reason why Aguero couldn't.

He's probably going to go on to be one of Argentina's best players, and he wanted to come to us, and we've missed out, because we won;t spend big on young players.

              He was priced out.

Atletico paid £4m for him the first year and will pay another £6m this year and £12m 2008 for him.

We scouted him but couldn't afford him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                  I’ll back you up AFII.

Phil Vickery, BBC Sport’s South American correspondent, said on more than one occasion on the radio that we were in the running for him. Obviously it came to nothing, but we were looking all the same.

What I meant is that he has played week in week out the latest months after Atletico lost two key players for the rest of the season.

Still not convinced that you can say he is better than Torres on that amount of evidence.

We couldn't afford to pay £22m for a 17 year old player. We couldn't even afford to pay £4m for Denilson.

I can say that because Torres hasn't been any good this season compered to previus seasons.

It's all my opinion of course

Fair point. He is good though, just not actually the second coming of jesus that some seem to believe. Better than the equally over hyped Joaquin as a player though.

                                Torres is class.
He just needs to get out of his comfort zone at AM.
He has stayed there too long already.
