Not really the point I was making though Parm. AFII was making out that he was some kind of first team regular when he actually isn't.

fair play, not seen him play for Atletico but am sure with the amount of money spunked on him he'll be a regular sooner rather than later. but 5 in 12, man sheva would kill for a record like that now!

I have seen a few Atletico games this season and Aguero has been their best player. He is already better than Torres.

everyone seems to think well never get this player because hes joined atletico madrid. no offence to them but atletico are a small club compared to us, theyll never win anything. with the money well be getting from DIC and with aguero's previous interest in joining us, whats stopping a move in a few years time. hes still really young

i hope a change in leadership and funding will allow us to be more aggressive in transfer dealings, its been so frustrating being linked to top class players year after year only to sign young 'gems' and 2nd choicers

I was being a touch facetious - I quite like Torres, but I do think he's overrated.

Trezeguet though, pah. His goalscoring record is annoyingly good, but I still don't like him as a player.

Not convinced that Aguero would come in to the category of unproven 'gem' when he went last season and he hasn't had a sustained spell of form yet.

I agree though it would be nice to get the managers first choice players. However I don't think there will ever come a time when paying £17m over three years or whatever it was for a young, untried, south american will seem like a good gamble to me.
