While I was watching the Real Madrid and Real Zaragoza I heard the commentator say that Real would let Salgado leave in January and Rafa was already talking to him about a move (loan??)- seemed weird to me seeing Neill was being linked aswell?

Yes I heard that and thought the same. Maybe he's been offered or his agent is talking it up or some journalist is making it up or LFC have enquired in case Blackburn mess us around over Neill either as a fallback or as a warning shot..

I don't thing Neill is being signed as a RB, he might well have been planned as cover for Finnan but long term I tink he would mostly play CB or be the lone defender on the bench as he can cover all positions. Salgado as been good but not anymore IMO.
I wouldn't even take him on a free.
Neill will probably play left back if we sign him IMO.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
